Hey all! This is going to be a bit of a different post for this blog. As I mentioned in my announcement, I haven't had a lot of time to write reviews, because I've been aiming for the 100-book challenge (reading 100 books in 1 year), and I finally completed the challenge yesterday. I thought I'd take a look back at what the experience was like, and why I definitely will not be doing it again next year.

Essay Enclosed )

To sum up, I thought I'd take a look at my top 10 favorite books I read this year. These are ones that, despite my hectic pace, still stick with me to this day. They are in no particular order.

1. I'll Give You the Sun by Jandi Nelson (Review Here)
2. Breakout by Ann Aguirre (Review Here)
3. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
4. Winter by Marissa Meyer
5. The Archived by Victoria Schwab
6. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon (Review Here)
7. Dark Sparkler by Amber Tamblyn
8. The Martian by Andy Weir
9. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
10. In the Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken

I've been attempting the 100-book challenge this year, and it has given me little time to review anything. I'm definitely not doing the same next year! I want time to digest my books, and form my opinions on them, and then write about them!

I hope to get at least a couple more review up by the end of the year. Sorry for the dead air!

Hey all,

I finally decided to cave and get a MyDramaList account. You can check out all of the Asian drama I've ever watched here:

If there are any I haven't reviewed on this blog that you are curious about, feel free to request a review!

All right, it took a few days, but all of my reviews (except for some of the really short ones that are from a really long time ago) from LiveJournal are now up here. They are all tagged based on the kind of the review, the kind of media and the name of what's being reviewed, so hopefully that makes them a bit more easy to find than on my LJ.

From now on, any reviews I write will be posted here first and (probably) cross-posted to my LJ, but they'll always be public here, while everything on my LJ is friends-only.

Hope you enjoy, and see you in 2012.

So just to have another place for them, I'm going to be posting all of my reviews from LiveJournal onto here. (I'm shima_sama over on LJ, just by the way.)

I'll be doing it little by little since I'm lazy as hell, but that's basically the only thing I care enough about to have a back-up of, so that's what I thought I'd do.

Also, Merry Christmas!
